Board and Administration

Virginia Marine (she/her/hers) is the Director of External Relations for the Monterey Symphony and is responsible for the organization's branding, marketing, publications and communications including: e-newsletters, social media, print and website design. Virginia started her tenure at the Monterey Symphony in 2014 as an administrative assistant. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communication Design in 2004 from Stevenson University. In 2008, Virginia relocated to California from Maryland where she worked as a graphic design consultant for clients such as AT&T, Deloitte & Touche, IBM, and Northrop Grumman. In 2018, she began consulting for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory supporting their Discovery missions. Virginia is thrilled to be working in the arts for the Monterey Symphony. As Director of External Relations she enjoys bringing her organizational skills together with her love for design and live music. She lives in Carmel-by-the-Sea California with her son Wolfgang.
