Board and Administration

Julie Lim joined the Monterey Symphony staff in 2023 as Director of Patron Services. She handles ticket sales, donations, musician hospitality and manages the offce. Her most recent employment was with the Carmel Bach Festival as Patron Services Manager. Julie moved to Carmel-by-the Sea along with her husband, dog, and horse in 2013 with the intention of living a quiet retired life but she found that working with the patrons of the Arts was very rewarding.

Julie grew up travelling the world as the daughter of an Army Colonel. She lived in Japan, Singapore, Turkey and Iran as well as the East coast of the US. After graduating from UC Davis and doing graduate work at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, she embarked on a career in the restaurant industry. As CEO of CBL,Inc she pioneered the offering of "healthy" food options in a restaurant setting. Upon retiring from CBL, Inc, she set her sights on competing in the equestrian world and gained National recognition in Dressage and Jumping.

Julie is happy to be part of the team and looks forward to a long tenure with the Monterey Symphony.
