Board and Administration

Jeryl Abelmann graduated from UCLA with a BA in Elementary Education. She taught 5th grade at Green Valley Elementary School in Danville, California for 20 years. She was honored as Teacher of the Year for the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Jeryl and a co-author wrote a monograph entitled Focus on Fine Arts: ELEMENTARY published by the National Education Association. The theme is that the Arts is a crucial foundation of education. She is the co-author of the award winning children's book series starring Quickly The Magic Spatula. Jeryl is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has appeared in musical theater and television and movies. She served as a Director of the Pacific Repertory Theatre, The Carmel Bach Festival and California State Monterey Bay Women's Leadership Council. Jeryl is honored to serve on the Board of the Monterey Symphony. She and her husband, Ron, have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren.
