Forest Theater

The historic Forest Theater in Carmel California is home to our fall outdoor concerts. Enjoy the Symphony under the stars in this 500-seat arena. Make sure you bring layers, a cozy blanket or seat cushion to sit on, and best of all, you can pack your own picnic! Outside food and alcoholic beverages are allowed in the theater.

Each ticket price includes a $1-$3 facility use fee as required by the Forest Theater.

Discounts

Students, Military, and Teachers may purchase $12 tickets. They are available online, over the phone and in person. No promo code required.

The Forest Theater is located at Santa Rita St & Mountain View Ave, Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA 93921 

From California State Highway One, take the Ocean Avenue exit and drive down the toward downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and continue past the first stop sign for two blocks.

Turn left onto Santa Rita Street and continue one block to the bottom of the hill.

The entrance gate is to the left, at the intersection of Santa Rita & Mountain View.

Parking
  • Parking is extremely limited.
  • For patron convenience, a passenger drop-off area is in the main parking lot. Guests, picnic supplies, blankets and cushions can be dropped off prior to parking your car.
  • Parking is recommended on Mountain View, and on Junipero Street (a 10-minute walk down Mountain View).
  • This venue is in a residential neighborhood, and we request you keep that in mind when entering and exiting events at the facility, being respectful with parking and noise.

At The Venue

Accessibility
  • There are several parking spaces available for patrons with a Disabled Person (DP) placard or DP License Plate, they are located inside the parking entrance on the corner of Mountain View Ave and Santa Rita St.
  • If no more accessible parking is available, we recommend using the passenger drop off area in the main parking lot. Guests, picnic supplies, blankets and cushions can be dropped off prior to parking your car.
  • Wheelchair spaces are available between the upper and lower seating sections. There is a ramp with a slight incline to this area. Folding chairs will be available for companion seating.
Attire
  • This is an outdoor venue so please dress warmly (we suggest layers).
Concessions
  • Concessions will be provided by Pacific Repertory Theatre.
  • Patrons are allowed to bring their own food and drink (including alcohol) into the venue.
Seating
  • Seating is general admission and the house opens for seating at 5:30 PM.
  • Bench seating can be uncomfortable so you may bring a cushion and lap blanket.
Service Animals
  • Only licensed service animals are allowed into the venue. Please have your printed license ready to show box office personnel.
