Monterey Symphony presents a new concert format "Balcony Sessions" featuring your favorite Monterey Symphony musicians performing live 30-minute recitals from the balcony of our downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea office, local theaters, galleries and more! This is an online event that will be streamed via Vimeo to the Monterey Symphony Facebook page and YouTube Channel. This performance will also be available via Roku and IGTV after the live event has ended.

No tickets are necessary. This is a free Online Event.
Due to guidelines around gatherings, onsite seating is NOT available for this event.

DAWN WALKER

Dawn Walker has been principal flute of the Monterey Symphony since 1990 and a member of the Carmel Bach Festival Orchestra for more than 15 years.  She performs frequently with the San Francisco Opera and Ballet orchestras.   She has been a featured soloist with the New Century Chamber Orchestra, the Monterey Symphony and the Carmel Bach Festival Orchestra.   Ms. Walker has been an adjudicator for the California Music Teachers Association and University of the Pacific.  Ms. Walker received her Master of Music degree with distinction in performance and academic honors from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.   She has studied with Julius Baker, Frances Blaisdell, Keith Underwood and Claude Monteux.

MARK WALKER

Cellist Mark Walker has been a member of the Symphony Silicon Valley for more than 30 years.  He is a former member of the Sacramento Symphony, former Principal of Santa Rosa Symphony and former Assistant Principal of Monterey Symphony.   Mark has been a member of the Sacramento Chamber Music Society for many years, and has taught in the preparatory division of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.   He was a student of Irene Sharp, Lawrence Lesser, Timothy Eddy and Harvey Shapiro.  He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and did graduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
