Orchestra Auditions
Monterey Symphony is a professional, per-service orchestra offering approximately 40 services of employment annually by agreement with AFM Local 6, San Francisco.
Auditions for membership in Monterey Symphony are scheduled on an ongoing basis. When auditions are scheduled they will be advertised here, on AFM Local 6's website (https://afm6.org/), and in International Musician (https://internationalmusician.org/).
Monterey Symphony employs extra musicians as needed to fill our ranks. To be considered for work as a substitute a musician usually must be placed on a section's sub list by the relevant principal.
