Michelle Lange is responsible for all fundraising activities of
the orchestra including its annual fund campaign, foundation
support, and special program fundraising. Ms. Lange will bring
her extensive development experience to the organization with
special attention devoted to building a corporate engagement
program and expanding the support basis. Having begun her
fundraising experience as a volunteer, Ms. Lange will serve as a
valuable resource to the Friends of the Symphony, the
orchestra's volunteer auxiliary.
Lange brings more than 20 years of experience to the position.
She began her fundraising career as a volunteer working to raise
money for military family member programs in both the United
States and overseas. Professionally, she served as the Executive
Director of the Lakewood Health System Foundation in Staples,
Minnesota for five years and, most recently, as the Annual Gifts
Officer with CentraCare Health Foundation in St. Cloud,
Minnesota.
Having spent a brief amount of time in Monterey while serving in
the US Army, Lange is thrilled to be back in the area and
working to advance the mission of the Monterey Symphony. Ms.
Lange is a member of all professional fundraising societies in
our area and will serve as co-chair of the Philanthropy Day
Celebration in 2008.
