 Kyounghee Park Uhm Principal Piccolo Principal Piccolo/Flute player Kyounghee Park Uhm has been a tenured member of the Monterey Symphony since 1985. Born in South Korea, Kyounghee was a child film star who was given the role of a character who played the flute. She took some initial flute lessons to help her acting and then decided that she would rather continue studying music than acting. She has served in several musical capacities in the Bay Area and has been very involved in American Korean Community affairs. Kyounghee received both her Bachelor and Masters in Music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has also performed with the Carmel Bach Festival, San Francisco Opera, the San Francisco Ballet and the California Symphony and toured with Western Opera Theater. Return to the Roster |
