Richard Palm  Bassoon II Bassoon artist Richard Palm has played with the Monterey Symphony for eighteen years, having first played with Ensemble Monterey, the Berkeley Symphony, and the Central Massachusetts Symphony. Initially, a student of engineering at the University of Washington, Richard studied bassoon privately with Arthur Grossman, Roland, Small, Walter Green and Matt Ruggido. Currently, he also plays with the Santa Cruz Symphony and the Monterey Bay Symphony. A licensed pilot, Richard has literally flown down here to rehearsals and concerts from his home in Mountain View.
