Valerie Bengal

Having played the viola for eight years with the Monterey Symphony, Valerie has also played with the Sacramento Symphony, Orchestra de la Catherdrale de Versailles, Santa Cruz Symphony, and chamber groups in the Monterey Bay and South San Francisco regions. She is no stranger to music workshops having played with the Stanford Jazz Festival and the Turtle Island String Quartet. Valerie was educated at the University of California at Davis and at Berkeley with private chamber music lessons in Paris, Francis. Valerie has also played with the Bayshore Lyric Opera company and music festivals in France and Los Angeles. Remarkably, Valerie Bengal is also full time medical doctor specializing in family practice. She is closely affiliated with the Natividad Medical Center in Salinas and through her past private practice, has served the medical needs of many families in the Salinas Valley.
