FRIENDS OF THE SYMPHONY
MEMBERSHIP The membership of the Friends is open to any person interested in furthering the activities of the orchestra. All members receive invitations to an Annual Membership Tea, concert preview luncheons, fundraising projects, and special events. Members also receive the Directory which is updated each year. In addition, they benefit from the satisfaction of knowing that their efforts on the orchestra's behalf enhance the quality of cultural life of our region. We encourage everyone to join and participate. VOLUNTEER There are many opportunities throughout the year in which volunteers can help the Friends and the Symphony. Here a just a few. Leadership ● Sponsor a pre-concert Luncheon ($500) ● Host an event in your home: tea, musical gathering, recognition event ● Put together a table for the Gala Celebration, October 6, 2007  Committees● Annual Membership Tea committee ● Gala Celebration committee ● Derby Day committee ● Collectibles Sales committee Promotions & Mailings ● Distributing posters and flyers ● Invitations to Friends Luncheons and fundraisers ● Symphony concert mailings (includes addressing, folding, stuffing envelopes) Invitations ● Design/development ● Assembling ● Addressing Decorations ● Designing and assembling table arrangements ● Decorating and set-up for special events  Refreshments● Donate wine ● Provide refreshments ● Pick-up and deliver donated refreshments Raffle Ticket Sales ● Assist people in buying raffle tickets at various events Courtesy Driver ● Provide transportation for non-driving members Other ● Secure or donate auction and raffle items ● Computer assistance ● Simple artwork and layout ● Recruit new members If you're interested in learning more about volunteering, please contact the Monterey Symphony at 831-646-8511 or via e-mail at info@montereysymphony.org. |
