We are your orchestra. Your gift helps to sustain our artistic excellence and innovative programming, along with community and education outreach programs that touch thousands of children and adults each year. Ticket sales provide less than 25% of the budget needed to support a professional orchestra. Our residents take great pride in the Monterey Symphony and our dedication to impacting the lives of the community. Your gift provides vital support and will bring music to our stage that inspires each of us. Please give now, to support our endeavors to engage, educate and excite our community through the performance and continual discovery of symphonic music.
Annual Fund
Did you know that the Monterey Symphony is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization? That is one of the many reasons we are so grateful to our contributors of the Annual Fund. As a way of showing our appreciation for your charitable gift to the Annual Fund, the Symphony offers the following benefits:

Music In The Schools
The Monterey Symphony engages fourth and fifth grade Monterey County students in our renowned Music in the Schools program by providing musicians from the symphony to conduct in-school demonstrations of the instrument families and host school youth concerts, presented to nearly 6,000 students last year alone. For many children who participate in our programs, this is their first experience learning about and hearing symphonic music LIVE! Our programs receive a tremendous amount of positive feedback from both teachers and students.
This year, our goal is to have the Music in the Schools program completely supported and have a sponsor for each and every one of the 6,000 children who will attend the Youth Concerts. Your gift will make a lasting impact on these children. The Monterey Symphony relies solely on individual, foundation and corporate support to provide students with In-School Demonstrations and Youth Concerts.
Musician Sponsorship
Last year, we established our first annual Musician Sponsorship program which succeeded in raising over $28,000 due to the generosity of dedicated patrons. We are very pleased to offer this opportunity again this season.
The Musician Sponsorship program allows you to sponsor a musician of your choice in the Monterey Symphony, provides the opportunity to get to know the musicians personally, and assists the Symphony by directly helping offset the costs of each performance. When you sponsor a musician, you provide us with much needed financial support and help us in continuing our mission to engage, educate, and excite the people of our region through the performance and continual discovery of symphonic music.

In doing so, you avoid paying capital gains taxes, and receive a deduction for the stock’s full fair market value up to a certain percentage of your adjusted gross income as determined by the IRS (please consult your accountant to financial planner for more information on deductibility).
The stock is sold immediately upon receipt into our account. The value of your stock gift is based upon the mean price on the day it is transferred. If you would like to make a gift of stock, the following information is provided for your convenience:
