Sunset Center, Carmel – Seating Chart and Directions
From California State Highway One, take the Ocean Avenue exit and drive down the hill into Carmel-by-the-Sea. Ocean Avenue becomes a divided road at Junipero Avenue. Continue two blocks to San Carlos Avenue and turn left. Drive two blocks on San Carlos Avenue. Sunset Cultural Center will begin at Eighth Avenue and occupies two city blocks until Tenth Avenue. The north lot is a paid lot on Saturday and Sunday afternoons until 6:00 pm – it is free after 6:00 pm. Other free lots exist on the south end of the lot and along the streets. Take particular care in parking in Carmel. Where designated spaces exist, you must adhere to the time limits and space delineations. If signs read, “no parking,” you can be sure the City of Carmel will enforce this restriction.

From Highway 101 South, exit at West Laurel Drive. Turn left on West Laurel and go four traffic lights to North Main Street. Turn right on North Main and go one traffic light to Iris. Turn left into the large north parking lot at the Steinbeck Institute of Art and Culture next to the Salinas Rodeo Grounds. Parking also exists in front of the Rodeo Grounds and on the south side of the lot.
From Highway 101 North, exit at the North Main Street exit. Get into the middle lane. Go Straight through the traffic light at Bernal and the Steinbeck Institute of Art and Culture will be on your right. Sherwood Hall is in the Center of the complex. Enter near the marquee to park in either the south or north lots.
